The Kingfisher Bay Resort Ferry takes 4wd and sedans across to the resort which is serviced by a network of fully sealed roads.
The large 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom home is a private residence located at Kingfisher Bay Resort on the western side of Fraser Island.
Spread across 3 levels the inviting home is its own little resort in a resort. The house can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people or 2 families. The top level master bedroom is opulent with towering ceilings and sea view windows and if this isn’t enough to relax you, a step outside onto a covered private balcony and to enjoy the soothing spa while sipping champagne and watching a golden sunset over the Great Sandy Straight will definitely pamper you into relaxation mode.
The mid and living area of the house contains another bedroom with bunk beds, kitchen and formal dining, and a lovely lounge area with a warming slow combustion fireplace for those nippy winter nights. The lounge area opens onto a spacious outdoor dining area set amongst the trees and has a bbq, dining table and deck chairs. The timber deck area is partly covered for all weather use and has been built around a beautiful old Australian Gum Tree to further enhance the bush appeal of the setting.
From the covered deck area is a timber walkway to a lower level containing 2 bedrooms and another large bathroom and stunning sun deck looking straight out to sea.

Getting to Sunset House
If you live in Sydney or Brisbane direct flights to Hervey Bay will allow easy access to Kingfisher Bay Resort from the River Heads terminus. Hire cars are available from the airport and alternatively a taxi can take you from the airport to River Heads to board the ferry on foot.
Travel by car from Brisbane is about 3.5 hours and from the Sunshine Coast approximately 2.5 hours. An interstate airport is also available at the Sunshine Coast with services from Sydney and Melbourne with rental vehicles also available and a shuttle service can also be booked for the drive to Hervey Bay.
